Metaphysics is the discipline of endlessly debating realms beyond observation and verification, only to end with no one convinced and a sigh by the desk. It claims to explore the essence of being and the origin of the universe by piling on infinite words and somehow returning to the starting point. The technical terms used along the way serve either as signposts into the jungle of concepts or as lost-and-found tags, depending on whom you ask. One sets out to pursue truth but unwittingly becomes immersed in the self-indulgent play, and before you know it, the number of raconteurs has grown while true philosophers remain scarce.

Qualitative is the fancy term scholars invented to worship ambiguity. It shuns the crutch of numbers, draping its claims in lofty adjectives while artfully evading concrete evidence. Proclaiming an escape from the cage of objectivity, it eagerly begs for a return to the paradise of subjectivity. The scarcer the quantitative proof, the more sanctified the assertion—a delicious paradox. Those who wield it plunge into endless labyrinths of interpretation, leaving behind nothing but a hall of mirrors.

A summarization is the act of stuffing heaps of information into a single sentence under the pretense of clarity. It claims to reduce others' confusion, while chiefly serving as an alibi for one's own laziness. The more you chase the perfect summary, the more the essence of the original text fades—a bittersweet paradox.
