#Afterglow

Afterglow is like the final drop clinging to the rim of a glass in your heart. It hangs in the theatre once the play is over, or following the end of a romance, offering a subtle aftertaste. It masquerades as silence yet whispers incessant noise, a tiny devil clinging to memory. Chew it, and it tastes sweet; leave it alone, and it turns bitter. In other words, the very act of feeling it carries within it the potential for betrayal.
