The loud proclamations of impending awakening often serve as a pretext for laziness and shirking responsibility. Personal “truths” mutate into hollow mantras chanted by the masses. The most fervent believers create a mirror-like solidarity that seals dissent with the brand of heresy. In the end, what remains is deeper unease and an inexplicable sense of emptiness, worse than before the awakening.

Commonly observed during overpriced retreats and fasting camps, participants proclaim life-altering revelations on social media, though in reality it’s just a positivity badge. Believing they’ve attained enlightenment, they lecture others with the zeal of a hamster on a self-reflection wheel. Eventually, they quietly revert to everyday chaos as if nothing happened, masterful in the art of selective forgetfulness.

Wakefulness is the merciless reality check that shatters the comforting illusions you’ve guarded for years.
