A brushstroke is a runaway train powered by the author’s craving for approval. It hijacks prose and tears the reader’s focus apart in an act of artistic terrorism. The more it is hailed as elegant, the closer it gets to a sugar-coated agony. Its untamed freedom often hides inner chaos. The reader is left a puppet in its wild dance.
