Craving is the phenomenon that temporarily suspends reason and lets the voice of the heart race forward like a runaway train. Uttered, it sounds like a sweet invitation; unspoken, it spreads through the chest like poison. It often compels us to chase the mirage called satisfaction, only to find ourselves sinking in a quicksand of longing. Caught between survival instinct and self-control, it is the tyrant of the mind that masterfully pulls our strings.

Desire is the spotlight illuminating one’s own imperfection. Each time it is satisfied, a faint yet certain new flame of Desire ignites. Reason pretends not to notice this light, but it is Desire that whispers most fiercely in the darkness. Humans chase Desire to prove themselves, yet such proof remains an eternally incomplete thesis. In the end, Desire is the most unreliable navigator.

A dream is a nocturnal escape labeled sleep, cynically streaming irresponsible desires in an endless show without touching reality. It pretends to rest the body while mercilessly wringing the spirit, only to vanish by morning. A nightly dual agreement that invites both self-affirmation and disappointment simultaneously. The spectator (dreamer) is easily toyed by the performer (wish).

Eros is the god of love from ancient Greece, whimsically manipulating human desire to scatter bliss and chaos in equal measure. His arrows offer no choice between sweet rapture and bitter anguish. Lovers intoxicate themselves on his power; philosophers lament their folly. In a society that prides itself on reason, he is the ruthless embodiment of primal impulse.

A fetish is a modern religious contraption that projects anxieties and feelings of lack onto inanimate objects or rituals, then endows them with mystical power and value. Shoes or fabrics chosen at random become the pillars of self-esteem, only to reveal hollow emptiness upon closer inspection. Disguised as a personal preference, it is in fact the noisiest armor concealing the darkness within the mind.

Libido is the mysterious and troublesome concept of sexual drive smoldering within humans. It escapes the cage of reason to wreak havoc at the slightest provocation, earning its reputation as an inconvenient guest. Cherished as an excuse for impulse, masters of it are often returned to reality with remorse. Socially taboo yet secretly dancing each day as the flip side of being human, it serves as a mocking reminder of our animal nature. This uncontrollable energy could be called a prankster delighting in the tightrope walk of reason.
