A dryer sheet is the thin strip of paper you toss into the dryer to fluff clothes and mask reality with chemical fragrances. Under the noble pretense of suppressing static cling, it disperses countless chemicals to stage-manage consumer comfort. Unnoticed, it is discarded after a single use, only to be reborn as yet another arrogant new product. It may promise the harmless softness of an angel, but in reality it is nothing less than the specter of petrochemicals.
