In the corporate temple, OKR demands both devotion and sacrifice with merciless grace.

A personal growth plan is a ritual that casts the spell of clear goal setting while binding infinite self‐responsibility like a contract. It purports to inspire others but doubles as a trick to heap pressure on oneself. Habit formation is proclaimed as the strategy to vanquish ‘reasons for failure,’ only to trap you in self‐loathing when you slip. Checklists are nothing but tools to extract dopamine from the drug called accomplishment. In the end, it engraves both longing for an ideal future self and present laziness onto your soul in sweet torment.

If a goal is Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound, then success is supposedly guaranteed... supposedly. Meanwhile, the complexities and uncertainties of execution are instantly sanctified by rigid charts and graphs or simply ignored.
