Dream interpretation is the artifice of assigning meaning to the products of sleep to distract from morning indifference. It is the sole profession that gleefully screens one’s self-slide show at night, evidence aside. Scholars mash emotions and memories into a plausible narrative. No proof is required. Reality upon waking is always more bland than any dream.

The hermeneutical circle is an intellectual rollercoaster in which one’s assumptions trap one into reinterpreting the text to justify those very assumptions. The more you try to escape your preconceptions, the deeper you fall into them. Is it scholarly pursuit or self‐inflicted reading masochism? No one can say for sure. Few master it, many revel in the wordplay. Example: He chased the accurate meaning of the historical text, only to find himself imprisoned by his own interpretive premises.

Hermeneutics is the monstrous study of hunting infinite intentions behind any text. No word deemed "clear" can escape the spiral staircase of interpretation, inevitably leading to another abyss. Who ever claimed there was a single truth? Rather, the "final answer" is an arbitrary game of interpreters within an endless labyrinth. Yet scholars merrily continue climbing this eternal helix.

Meaning is a veneer humans apply to a chaotic world to impose order. It is a convenient fiction to justify after-the-fact narratives and conceal meaninglessness. Praised as a bridge between existence and value, it is as fragile as tissue paper. The act of gathering its scraps is the labyrinth known as the search for meaning.

The principle of charity is the social ritual of interpreting others’ statements in the most benevolent and rational way possible. Yet it often masks a desire to showcase one’s own argument as superior. In debates, it parades as genuine understanding while secretly fortifying one’s stance through elegant distortion. The absurdity of this principle shines through only when the purportedly generous interpretation proves opposite. What appears as noble logic is often the ultimate tactic for winning.

Statutory interpretation is the endless corridor where judges and officials resolve legislative ambiguity. It is a form of exquisite wordplay, dissecting every letter while weighing societal impact to twist out a conclusion. With each application, fresh doubts sprout and experts morph into orators on the witness stand. No matter how precise the statute, it is fated to harbor “unintended blind spots.” Citizens’ hopes before a draft constitution are always reduced back to ambiguity by the magic of precedent.
