Quantity is the mirror reflecting humanity’s deep-seated anxiety to measure everything with numbers. In reality it carves up vague sensations, enslaving them to order and control. Indifferent to meaning or quality, it coldly demands only increments and decrements. Ultimately, by chasing quantity we lose sight of essence and fall into the ascetic torment of endless comparison.

Recursion is the paradoxical invention of using itself to solve its own definition. Attempting to explain it forces one to return to the very definition, plunging the listener into a whirlpool of confusion. Programmers become explorers in a labyrinth of endless calls, facing the trial known as debugging. Though theoretically promising an elegant solution, in practice it often manifests as the nightmare of stack overflow. Yet its ceaseless self-invocation is revered as a pinnacle paradox of programming philosophy.

Regularization is the ritual of fitting chains to a model’s runaway parameters, a tragic dance that sacrifices freedom in the name of generalization. While infinite coefficients scream as they shrink, it mocks reality by oversimplifying data. Like a dancer manipulated on the teacher’s palm, it continues to swirl in equations, terrified of the penalty. The elegant curve that emerges might well be evidence that the model has learned nothing.
