An anthem is a solemn melody chosen to manufacture group unity, layered with a thunderous chorus of coerced lyrics. In a single booming performance, it hurls everyone into a sea of synchronized identity beyond nationality or age. Yet in practice, it produces contorted faces clutching lyric sheets and an unspoken tolerance for pitchy notes. For listeners it wears the guise of inspiration, for singers it carries the weight of silent expectation. Beauty and confinement dance hand in hand to fabricate the spectacle of communal emotion.

Kingdom Ethics is the moral code that demands absolute devotion to the state’s glory over personal conscience. It elevates collective myths above individual dignity, trading free thought for ceremonial loyalty. The ruling justice is less flawless principle and more the shadow of power and tradition. It silences dissent in the name of patriotism, constraining liberties under slogans of law and honor. One practical application: invoking “for the nation” to justify appropriating someone else’s wallet.

A nation-state is a grand social experiment that uses shared language and history as a shield to erect invisible walls dividing us from them. It offers citizens the comforting illusion of homogeneity while forcing outsiders into the binary of exclusion or assimilation. While proclaiming sovereignty, it often becomes a breeding ground for competition and mistrust between neighbors. Reason is chased off its podium by emotion, making exclusionary ideology its banner. It may be called the paradoxical fruit of patriotic love that confines others in the name of freedom and justice.
