An accessory is the epitome of attempting to prove one’s existence by adorning oneself with small shiny objects. The glitter promises momentary attention, yet one soon realizes both the heart and wallet have become hollow in irony. In consumer society, true beauty is secondary to the numbers on the price tag. As long as you keep buying and storing, that sparkle is doomed to an eternal cycle.

A ring is a small metal loop concealing vast expense and vanity. It serves as a handy narcotic to visualize intangible contracts of friendship or love, yet sometimes acts as a wise trap that cuts off circulation. Under the jewelry store lights it wears sanctity, but in reality it symbolizes selfish social norms. Ostensibly promising happiness or status, it more often inflates emptiness with cruel irony.
