abduction

Abduction is the carnival of mind that stitches together observed fragments and parades them as if it has grasped truth. It improvises conclusions on scant evidence, conveniently shelving falsifiability in pursuit of intellectual intoxication. Enthralled thinkers bask in the illusion that their hypothesis has ascended to fact. The voice of critical scrutiny is dismissed as mere static, gently ushered offstage in favor of the next speculative act.

Absolute

The Absolute is an imaginary entity engineered as an all-purpose answer device that deflects both evidence and criticism with ease. It grows nourished by human anxiety and the desire to shirk responsibility, burying inconvenient questions under the label of miracles. Cloaked in divinity, it is in reality nothing more than a remote control that binds people’s morals and actions. To believers it is a fount of love and salvation; to skeptics it is a cage that seals off any escape. This omnipotent facade conveniently sidesteps uncomfortable truths.

absolution

Absolution is the ritual whereby one erases personal guilt through confession and acquires a mental get-out-of-jail-free card. It instantly obliterates past misdeeds and bestows the sweet illusion that "I can do it again with impunity." Misused, it spawns an endless cycle of sin and repentance, inviting a psychological death march. Beyond its religious roots, it functions in modern times as a self-justification machine.

Absurdism

Absurdism is the doctrine that scoffs at humanity's desperate search for meaning as a cosmic comedy. Its adherents ask earnest questions while celebrating the sheer farce of finding no answers. The more one champions purpose, the deeper one tumbles into the abyss of meaninglessness, observed like a spectator enjoying dark humor. No salvation is promised, and despair becomes the true object of worship—its greatest allure. Ultimately, as long as one pursues meaning, humanity is doomed to play the buffoon on its own stage.

abyss

The abyss is a concept that simultaneously stirs humanity’s infinite fear and curiosity. Beneath its surface lies darkness so profound it swallows the faintest glimmer of reason, and once peered into, no return is possible. Philosophers descend here in search of truth, while politicians hurl their responsibilities into its depths. It is a riotous labyrinth where lost thoughts spin in endless loops.

actuality

Actuality is the silent executioner of our grandest aspirations, slicing dreams with a blade forged from cold circumstance. It reduces lofty promises to dust beneath its indifferent gaze. Yet without its harsh decree, fantasy would lack the glory of rebellion.

adept

An adept is a title bestowed upon one who flaunts inner mysteries while bystanders wonder what was actually achieved. They possess a secret key nobody asked for, whose purpose even they have forgotten. Ideally revered yet effectively ornamental, their true value is forever postponed. Occasionally they demonstrate ancient rites in casual conversation, artfully seeding disappointment in their audience.

Advaita

Advaita is a spiritual diet claiming to dismiss all distinctions as mere illusions and to liberate the self from tedious dualities by equating all of humanity into one. While promising to dissolve worries with sweet cosmic truths, it often serves as a first-class ticket to escapism. After countless hours of meditation and reading, one invariably returns to the usual self, turning the journey into an endless loop of self-help amusement.

aeon

An aeon is a word worshiped by philosophers and theologians as a charm against mortality, promising boundless duration. It stretches time into a claustrophobic expanse, hiding the terror of unending existence behind a mask of sublime calm. While selling eternity, it secretly consigns its believers to an endless odyssey of boredom and anxiety.

aesthetics

Aesthetics is the eternal wordplay about what is beautiful, functioning as decorative jargon that flatters the viewer’s pride while requiring no real practice. To art dealers and critics it is a tool of commerce, to students merely homework fodder. At times it works like a magic trick, making us feel we glimpsed life’s meaning in a mere five millimeters of paint. Ultimately, it is a high-end gimmick that sells illusions under the guise of scholarship.

afterlife

Afterlife is the ultimate marketing campaign invented to justify one's incompetence and irresponsibility in the here and now. It shelves every bad deed with the promise of a posthumous reward, achieving self-satisfaction and escapism simultaneously. This con artist's invention dangles an invisible future, postponing any real-world improvement indefinitely. It offers infinite hope to believers and perfect irony to skeptics, serving as the universal padlock for every debate. A masterpiece of wishful thinking disguised as cosmic justice.

agape

Agape is the lofty notion of embracing all human frailties and hypocrisy without expectation, an unconditional love teetering between ideal and reality. It often leaps from sacred texts as a consecrated term that purportedly erases everyday cost-benefit calculations. In practice, however, it serves as nothing more than an echo chamber of guilt and self-satisfaction, a convenient tool to admonish oneself rather than transform others. The more one proclaims this ideal, the more numerous the caveats lurking in its shadow become, revealing a deeply ironic truth.
