Promising stability, it choreographs division and stagnation, adorning every reform demand with bureaucratic delay. In the end, responsibility is hurled back at the electorate as it willingly repeats its own folly in the sacred ritual of elections.

Preventive policing is the state’s way of showing love: treating every citizen as a potential criminal under the pretense of crime prevention. Officers engineer and justify suspicious scenarios, then surveil those caught in the cycle with unwavering devotion. In the name of transparency and safety, privacy vanishes and freedom is repainted in shades of suspicion. On an invisible boundary, citizens become commodities trading both security and anxiety simultaneously.

Prison is the stage society builds under the pretense of 'safety', confining people to square cells for the comfort of distant spectators. Each time it raises a new ideal, it abandons old systems in disdain only to repeat the same mistakes. Deeply entwined with power, its easy omnipotence often blinds it to its own course. It is an ominous stage device that attempts to bridge the gap between theory and practice with the flowery slogan of “reform.”

Propaganda is the art of lining up agreeable words to gently silence doubt. It wraps human reason in a sweet melody and ultimately marches it to the same tune. Inconvenient facts are often shoved backstage while only flowery speeches reach the audience. More powerful than a loudspeaker is the uncritical applause of the masses.

Voters inscribe their ideals onto ballots while actual seat allocation is left to party calculations and backroom deals. Celebrated as a sacred act representing citizens’ voices, it often remains nothing more than a performance of self-satisfaction. At times, it functions as a device to confine genuine anger within the cage of public opinion and divert attention from actual change.

Proxy war is the refined military art of lending bullets and explosions to distant lands, while the sponsoring nation cogitates in comfortable armchairs and savors moral superiority. It stages carnage on foreign soil yet delivers unscathed victory at home. Under the banner of national interest, third-party soldiers become sacrificial pawns, and every crater is brushed off as collateral for peace. The true masterstroke lies in manipulating conflicts from afar, preserving one’s hands—and reputation—immaculately clean.

A ritual in which bureaucrats feign listening to citizens. A time-sinking apparatus to solicit opinions and ultimately change nothing. A social dance that absorbs grievances while staging democracy in name only. A manufactured show wrapped in the ornament of transparency.

Public housing is the state’s folder of collective “security,” offered under the guise of sheltering citizens safely. Its tidy facades mimic model neighborhoods, while the real attraction is the mind-numbing monotony of identical walls. Rents are affordable, yet affordability doubles as an unspoken barrier against too much aspiration. Community facilities are touted as symbols of solidarity, effectively broadcasting your neighbor’s life to the whole block. Promised security and fairness, you soon discover you are merely a point on the government’s grand blueprint.

Public insurance is a vast piggy bank into which the petals of citizens' taxes are gathered under the claim of preparing for future disasters. While preaching equality and security, it actually offers a labyrinth of eligibility criteria that make one lose sight of the entrance precisely when needed. Beneficiaries—regardless of age or gender—chorus their gratitude, yet the long queues at service counters remind everyone that suffering is equally shared. And yet, when push comes to shove, no one can help but rely on it, like a giant cradling children called 'the populace.'
