Life purpose is the mythical treasure humanity endlessly hunts. Claimed to have been found, it spawns new questions, luring seekers into deeper labyrinths. Self-help gurus and counselors advertise its attainment, converting the search labor into commerce. Paradoxically, clarity of purpose often trips one under its burden, spawning unintended suffering. It might be called a self-created jailbreak game.

Meaning is the universal device humans slap onto actions to justify them. It wears the mask of self-satisfaction and acts as stage scenery to conceal emptiness. The more one chants it in meetings or papers, the more its weight diminishes and its recitation backfires. Ultimately, it becomes the source of a perverse phenomenon where flowery rhetoric outweighs concrete results.

A purpose is the ghost of an ideal everyone is told to have, drowning them in seas of paperwork and endless meetings. Proclaimed as profound, it imprisons you in the cage of specificity while fueling a social thirst for others’ approval. Heralded as a beacon of the future, its glare often blinds you to the present. Teleology is a mental game that relentlessly seeks a blueprint behind the grand stage of reality. Its insistence on finding a reason for everything resembles a magical comfort that wraps human anxiety in retroactive narratives. Yet this magic serves not to illuminate truth but to silence chance and chaos as a mere sedative. By filtering the endless chain of causality through perceived intention, teleology effectively rewrites the world into its own scripted story. Ironically, teleology shuts down inquiry even as it spawns fresh questions.

Vocation is the so-called divine summons that serves as the ultimate excuse to conceal one's own inertia. Humans delude themselves into believing they are uniquely chosen to escape the banality of daily life. In reality, the ability to judge whether the assigned task is burdensome is abandoned, leaving only repeated rituals of self-indulgence. Celebrated grandly on the stages of faith and philosophy, the mundane duties at the workplace are universally ignored.
