Zombieing is the act, particularly on the digital dating stage, of leaving someone like a ghost only to suddenly resurrect, scattering longing and confusion. It combines the irresponsibility of vanishing with the ego trip of reappearing, exhuming affections that had been buried in a heart’s graveyard. A horror-comedy of modern romance where cold departures and brazen returns coexist. Recipients are forced into a state of emotional zombification, caught between hope and despair.
