The Jubilee is the ancient decree of debt cancellation and land sabbath. This once-in-an-interval societal reset seduces people with a fleeting illusion of equality. When the spectacle ends, only the nobility’s theater of mercy remains while structural inequality quietly awaits reboot. Ironically, this festival called “reset” becomes the most effective engine for reproducing inequality.

A second chance is the magical reprieve granted to those who have already stumbled, a gift that almost always comes with a guarantee of tripping on the same stone again. It soothes the heart filled with regret and self-reproach while functioning as a pardon for those showing no signs of learning from past mistakes. Everyone desires it, yet the moment it’s granted, its expiration date is promptly forgotten. Moreover, it serves as the perfect evidence for claiming special treatment while subtly adjusting others’ expectations. Ideally meant to foster growth, in reality it rarely does more than furnish a new excuse for "oops, I did it again."
