Rosicrucianism is a fantastical religious puzzle that claims to pursue truth while leaving behind a vast secret society and countless ciphered manuscripts. On the surface it professes alchemical and mystical studies, yet to outsiders it merely resembles a con artist’s sideshow of dancing rose emblems. Participants vow to learn noble mysteries, only to become custodians of dusty tomes, forever waiting for someone else to decode them. Ironically, instead of attaining truth, one becomes ensnared in an endless loop of questioning what truth even is.
