A denomination is a small-scale brawling club in the religious world, where adherents uphold the same creed while endlessly condemning minor differences. Believers claim to seek heavenly tranquility, but in reality cultivate a hotbed of organizational self-love to guarantee their own legitimacy. Debates over doctrinal minutiae are power struggles masquerading as philosophical dances. Internal holy wars serve as entertainment that distracts from outsiders, and sectarian conflicts enthrall people as if they were proof of faith’s very existence.

A sect is a collective that, while dreading exclusion by the majority, forges its unity by proclaiming its own orthodoxy. It proudly flaunts pure beliefs even as it excludes heretics within, hosting a self-contradictory festival of schism. Its true aim is not the pursuit of ideals but an empty feast of exclusivity and self-validation. Once united, it invariably sets in motion an eternal spiral of new offshoots.

Sectarianism is the refined pastime of demonizing rival creeds to protect one’s own dogma, masquerading as spiritual zeal but thriving on petty division. It is the paradox of seeking ultimate certainty by multiplying boundaries like collector’s items. It boasts sublime transcendence while revealing an almost childish urge to draw lines in the sand. When challenged, it proclaims "For the greater good!" then conveniently forgets the chasm it has created. With each new sect, the cycle of exclusion and reassurance is reborn in perfect duplicity.
