Objectivity boasts respect for perspectives beyond oneself, yet ultimately serves as an elegant cloak to conceal one’s own biases. It claims to seek truth while masterfully selecting only the most comforting conclusions. In debates it proclaims fairness, but quietly hides numerous biases beneath the surface—a dark hero of philosophical theatrics.

Self-reflection is the ceremonial act of revisiting one’s thoughts and actions, purportedly for growth, but often serving as an excuse to justify past blunders. Far from a profound meditation, it becomes a pretext for brewing fresh material to criticize others. Although one may frown in front of the mirror for hours, actual change appears only in the footnotes of post-meeting slide decks. Eventually, it circles back to the comforting thesis that 'perhaps it’s other people who need more reflection,' a self-defensive infinite loop.

Self-reflection is the noble ritual of cataloging one's excuses and regrets with pompous solemnity. It involves standing before the mirror, dissecting your pride and glaring defiantly at an uncertain future. Most practitioners consider a few deep breaths sufficient to return to the original justifications they promised to abandon. In the end, self-reflection is merely a self-inflicted pardon for personal shortcomings.
