Snoring is the nocturnal acoustic warfare that erupts unconsciously. It obliterates the peace beside the pillow while the perpetrator sleeps on, blissfully unaware. Sometimes it rumbles like metallic moans, other times it carries the melancholic air of a folk ballad. Victims have no choice but to endure the endless night armed with earplugs as their only shield. It is one of the rare social rituals where grabbing someone by the collar is momentarily justified.
