Panorama stitching is the art of sewing multiple photos together to create the illusion of an unbroken reality. It disguises gaps and distortions—an optical patchwork optimized to fool the eye. While posing as a quick way to capture expansive vistas, it simultaneously reveals both the photographer’s shortcuts and the labor of digital manipulation.
