Description
A conference is a social ritual where people gather in the same room to share others’ time and indulge in endless discussion. Organizers proclaim “action items” that will almost certainly never be acted upon. Participants read documents aloud, advance slides, and feign productivity. What emerges is not accomplishment but a vague memory no one recalls. We work for conferences and do not work in them.
