Description
The golden rule is the moral bedrock that instructs one to treat others as one wishes to be treated, yet its scope is invariably defined by one’s own convenience. It extols self-sacrifice but is riddled with exceptions. The more devout the believer, the more adept they become at crafting justifications. Its irony casts a shadow in the mirror of ethics.
